Making A Difference - Locally is a charitable company whose purpose is concerned purely with making donations for the purpose of improving communities through charitable giving.
As a responsible company it is required to ensure that donations are properly made and that recipients of any donation comply with certain strict guidelines.
The participating retailers taking part in the charitable activities are required to submit an application nominating their chosen charity or good cause. That nominated charity or good cause is then vetted to make certain that any donation is awarded to a genuine beneficiary. Only after the application has been processed can a donation be made.
The charitable company is governed by a board of directors who receive no remuneration from the charity and are in place to ensure the nominated charity or good cause is genuine, that the proposed donation will be used for the purposes outlined in the nomination and that the money will be spent well.
