Nisa store donates to hospice

Published on 31 July 2014

A Nisa Local store in the heart of Nuneaton donated a fantastic £500 to a local hospice which enhances the quality of life to people who have cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

S & K Supermarket has been owned by Amrik Kalm, Naginder kalm, Balbir Sohal and Joginder Sohal for more than two decades, and it regularly donates to charities and good causes. And in this latest donation Mary Ann Evans Hospice received the helpful sum through Nisa’s Making A Difference Locally charity.

Mr Kalm's son Sukhjit said it’s important to support local causes. He added: “We chose the hospice because it provides excellent care and support for patients and their families.

“It has touched the lives of many local people during a very difficult period of time and is a most worthy recipient of MADL funds to continue and expand its work in the local community. We made another donation in 2010 through MADL for £975.”
