Bridgnorth retailer Makes a Difference for local community hospital

Published on 07 December 2015

The Nisa Local on Queensway Drive, Bridgnorth is supporting their local hospital with a generous donation of £1,000. The store donated the money to The League of Friends for Bridgnorth Community Hospital through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity to benefit residents of the local area.

The donation will contribute towards the purchase of new equipment for the hospital. The League of Friends are a very proactive group supporting Bridgnorth Community Hospital, which raises money to buy much needed equipment for the hospital through donations, legacies, fund-raising activities and the profits from the League of Friends coffee shop.

The Nisa Local’s donation was raised through Nisa’s Making A Difference Locally charity, from customers purchasing items from the own-label Heritage range and a number of branded products in store. A percentage of the sale cost of these items then goes into a virtual fund to be donated to local charities and good causes of the store owners’ choice.

Store manager, Jamie Vernon said of their donation: “The store decided to donate to the League of Friends at Bridgnorth Hospital to keep the funds within the community and help to provide much needed equipment for the local hospital.”
