Nisa and Kellogg’s team up to feed the needy

Nisa Retail has exclusively joined forces with the Kellogg Company to help local people in the community receive a free breakfast.

Nisa has partnered with Kellogg’s by bringing their nationwide campaign Help Give A Child A Breakfast to local communities through Nisa stores, by donating funds to school breakfast clubs or foodbanks.

The breakfast company is donating a huge £5,000 through Nisa’s members and its Making A Difference Locally charity pots. The monies will be awarded to 25 retailers who purchase the most Kellogg’s Special packs with the ‘Buy a Box = Give a Bowl’ logo from August 2014 to October 2014.

Kate Carroll, MADL brand manager, said: “Nisa is really proud to be the only retail company to team up with Kelloggs and to support such an important and prominent issue. Every day in the UK one in seven children go to school without breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day.

“Therefore this collaboration will help tackle these problems by putting the donations and the retailer truly in the heart of the community.”

Kellogg’s has supported MADL for the last five years, and contributed significantly to the charity raising in excess of £1m each year.

Commenting on the partnership with Nisa, Ed Jones, shopper marketing manager at Kellogg’s, said: We’re really proud of what we have achieved and we’re pleased to be working with Nisa on our annual ‘Help Give a Child a Breakfast’ campaign as together we can make a huge difference to local communities through these donations, to ensure children get the best possible start to the day.

“Kellogg’s has been supporting breakfast clubs for 16 years now and in that time we’ve set up more than 1000 new clubs in some of the most deprived areas of the UK.”
