Young sports enthusiasts benefit from store donation

Published on 07 July 2015

The Nisa Local store in Hatton is supporting young football fanatics with a fantastic donation of £1,000.

The money was raised through the Making A Difference Locally charity by customers purchasing specific products and a percentage goes into a virtual fund to be donated to ultra-local charities and good causes.

The Under 8s Hatton United Football Club (HUJFC) will put the money to good use and purchase new training balls, along with new football socks for growing youngsters!

Co-director of the store on Station Road, Sukh Gill, said: “We believe in supporting the community as much as possible and we will continue to do so by donating to nearby causes and charities which would really benefit from it.

“We are really pleased our donation has been put to good use and will benefit the youngster’s health and wellbeing.

“We are always open to suggestions- so if you know a local charity or good cause which needs supporting then let us know!”

Manager of the under 8s football team, Carl Andrews, said they have nearly 120 youths and without the support of donations such as this one, they would struggle to run their fantastic service.

“Without the generosity of donations and the help of parents, coaches and committee members- none of this would be possible,” Carl said.

“The funds supplied ensure that we sustain our FA Chartered standard status which we are very proud of. It ensures we can plan for future coaches to sustain recognised levels of qualification that then deliver quality, fun coaching to all the kids,”

If you want to support local and charities and good causes by shopping at the Nisa Local store in Hatton, it is open 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 9pm on Sunday.
