MADL donates £25,000 to children’s service

Published on 07 April 2014

“We are overwhelmed with the £25,000 donation and it will make a huge difference to our services!” These are the words of Jo Wagstaff from Action For Children, Scunthorpe branch.

The Kaleidoscope centre on Dunstall Street provides vital support and services for over 700 disabled children and their parents. Jo, lead practitioner, added: “It’s difficult to get funding because it is very limited nowadays, so this £25,000 is much appreciated and could even fund a new staff therapist.

“We want our service to reach out to as many children and parents in North Lincolnshire and we will be able to full fill this even more now with the funding.

“We have a separate project too at the centre called Haven which specifically gives children a therapeutic service.”

Since 2008 Nisa’s charity Making A Difference Locally has raised £5 million and helped over 3,000 charities and good causes throughout the UK.
