Banbury store supports homelessness project

Published on 22 February 2016

A Nisa Local store in Banbury supported a homelessness charity with a donation of over £900. The store on Orchard Way made the donation to BYHP (Banbury Young Homelessness Project) through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity to support vulnerable young people in the area.

BYHP is a registered charity which aims to support vulnerable young people aged 13-25 in finding and maintaining a safe home and offering advice and information to those in need. The charity also runs a community foodbank, offers health and wellbeing services and helps to find work for the unemployed.

The cheque was presented to BYHP’s head of business, Tim Tarby-Donald, by the Nisa Local’s store manager David Gourley.

David Gourley commented: “It can be a difficult growing up in this day and age, therefore a charity that helps such people in the area is capable of “making a difference locally” which is what Nisa’s charity is all about. We are pleased that we can pass on our support to BYHP.”

To support the work of Making a Difference Locally and help good causes in your area, look out for Heritage products and Making a Difference Locally promotions in your local Nisa store.
