Taylor’s of Tickhill supports local school in aiding reading development

Published on 18 February 2016

The Taylor’s of Tickhill store in Doncaster donated £300 to their local primary school, Tickhill St Mary’s C of E Primary and Nursery School, through Making a Difference Locally. The specialist grocery store on Market Place, Tickhill donated the money to the school to enable them to purchase a number of Kindle e-book readers for use by the pupils in reading development.

Taylor’s of Tickhill store owner, Christopher Taylor also joined the MADL Board of Trustees last year. He said of the store’s donation: “Our Making a Difference Locally funds are in constant demand from local good causes. We find that donating little and often is the best policy as it shares the funds around more organisations and as a result more people will potentially benefit from the funds.”

The family owned store has traded from the same location in the centre of Tickhill since 1946. It operates as a traditional grocery store specialising in cheese, wine and cooked meats.

To support the work of Making a Difference Locally and help good causes in your area, look out for Heritage products and Making a Difference Locally promotions in your local Nisa store.
